What do you know about Latvia?

When our students knew about our connections with Latvia, they wanted to tie their knowledge to the Latvian culture. We chose a wall to show what we thought it could be more relevant about Latvia and its people. The main points that they wanted to highlight were related to the culture, religion, music, sports, health and they were really interested in the independence of Latvia. It shocked their minds when they find out that Latvia got its independece a few years ago. We discussed about wars and how dangerous they can be.

Our students have enjoyed working all together and looking for the information, selecting the most relevant parts and we hope that learning at the same time!!!!!
